Still chugging?

my car is chugging after my engine was cleaned? my dad said they spilled water all over the engine while cleaning it..is that the proper way to clean it?i have doubts...coz i know my dad doesnt know anything about cars he just pretends that he knows.. HELP!wat happend to my car its chugging is really loud after that cleaning...it was working fine when it was dusty?now!?its giving F*N headache...I wanna punch someone! :( help!
