Why does Obama think "Coverage" Equals "Care?" My insurance denies so much doctors in my area won't take it!!?
Your parents are very lucky. Most medicare patients receive too much care, because their doctors want as much money from medicare as possible, and the excessive care does not help them; instead, it makes there lives worse (more time in the hospital or at the doctor, less time at home) and does not improve their health or help them live longer. Medicare patients in Florida should live longer (because the risk of being killed by slipping on ice or by snow-shoveling-related heart attacks is practically zero), but do not, probably because they receive more care than those in the other 49 states (mainly because Florida has more doctors).
