Would it hurt to use a battery with a different mAh in my airsoft gun?

I bought an Aftermath Kraken airsoft gun off my friend and the battery loses chrage easily and is causing it to jam. The battery is an 8.4 V 1200mAh ni-cd battery if i use one with a higer mAh, woul it cause porblems?
