Is it normal to have your first period really really light?

i am 14 almost 15 and all my friends have gotten there period and well i think i got my period yesterday because there was a little trace of blood on the toilet paper... but not as much as you think there would have been. I am not sure if this is normal. i used a tampon and there was a little blood on the tampon. but does anyone know if this is normal or not. Please help me i am very concerned! Thanks -Kelsey
