Why does the Banaue rice terrace often called the Eight Wonder of the World?

With all due respect, the 7 new wonders of the world are a stunning list of human historical achievement but nothing compares to Banaue rice terrace because of one thing, it's a living history. I was in awe when I visited this place two years ago. The lady tour guide said that this place was made over 2000 years ago about the same time as the pyramids of Egypt. To this day, the indigenous people there still tend to this terrace.
